top 5 makeup geek matte eyeshadows

If I was going to recommend any eye-shadows to any one I know, it would be Makeup Geek.
Cheap, pigmented, creamy and delicious.
Makeup Geek is a brand that's been around a long time, but only recently has the beauty industry realised how bloody amazing their products are! It was so tough trying to pick my top 5, but I did. They're probably not the brightest, unique colours chosen but they're my most used and most reached for so they had to be my faves...

5: Bedrock - This muted pigmented grey is my most used colour for smokey eye looks. Whether I am using browns, blacks even hints of pink I will always reach for this and pop it in the crease. It's such a pure cool grey that it is a gooden for cool toned looks.

4:Bitten - That pop of autumnal, fall burgundy red. This is a must if you wear dramatic eyes often, it is so good for putting in the outer corner to create depth to warm toned eye looks. Even if I'm feeling a bit over my head I'll put this all over my lid to create a deep red eye without looking like I've been punched!

3: Cocoa Bear - That deep, rich, chocolate brown. This is such a diverse colour for ANY eye look. Can pop it sparingly in the crease for depth, smoke the lower lash line for definition.. the list goes on. I just had to include this because of how rich and creamy the eyeshadow itself is, never mind the pigmentation good lord. A staple for brown neutral eye looks.

2: Morroco - I was droooling over this colour for months but it never seemed to be in stock when I wanted it, so when it came in stock I had no regrets buying it. This is such a unique colour, it looks scary and bright but honestly this is THE transition colour for super warm looks. Literally, dab your brush ever so lightly and disperse the orange goodness into your crease, and you wont look at any other colour.

1: Frappe - This is my all time favourite for natural, no lashes, nude lips kind of days. Can be used anywhere on the eye, but I mostly use it for a wash of colour so I don't look like a zombie. But its just that perfect transition between warm and cool and I loooooove it. If you're a beginner, this is a staple!!

I could honestly say all of my MG Collection is a must, but that would be a list and a half! Hope you hop on the bandwagon like me and invest! They're all priced at £4.95 on BeautyBay, thanks for reading!

CRANBERRY CHIC EYE LOOK

Title explains it all really, just an in-depth routine of my eye makeup today. May be a tad dramatic for some, but paired with a nude lip I personally think its a great balance for any occasion. Hopefully my techniques help, enjoy X
1 - Add a transition colour just above your crease with a very fluffy brush,. This can be any light / medium brown that will help blend all the darker shades later in the process! (EX - MAC 224) (MG - Frappe)

2 - Now add your crease colour, a darker shade that will add some definition. Try not to apply this too much above the crease as that is when it gets messy. Stay low and use a denser blending brush. (Ex MAC 217) (MG - Morocco)
3 - Now add some definition to the outer corner, I used black but don't be scared as you can blend blend blend! Add less and increase to your desired look, It's not a big deal if its messy but use a flat brush for application and a fluffy brush to blend again. (EX ZOEVA 234 & 227) (MG - Corrupt)
4 - Now for some colour. I added a burgundy colour to the lid to add some drama, but use whatever colour you like! Add it, then get your dense blending brush and more of your crease colour and blend the lid shade to your crease so you have no harsh line :). (MG - Bitten)
5 - Got to add a little liner! (Benefit Push Up Liner)
6 - LASHES. If you're not confident with applying them then just skip this step and add a few layers of mascara. A good tip though is to wait until the glue becomes tacky on the lashes and then pop them on, makes it so much easier. (Ardell Demi Wispies & Revlon lash glue)
Just a 'tad' bit of highlighting. If you're new to concealer, always apply it in a triangle shape rather than one swipe directly underneath the eye, brings a lot more light to the face. (NYX HD Photogenic Concealer)
Why do I look so sad?hahaha. Anyhows, smuge the lid colour onto your lower lash line and then blend it out with the transition colour & pop a couple layers of mascara on.
The brows are ON. (ABH Brow Wiz & Pomade)

COMPLETED LOOK!
