So this is going to be a long one. Basically this is a round up of all the beauty related products I've bought in the past 2/3 weeks, some I have tried & some I haven't but lets just say I've been skincare obsessed lately so be prepared for a lot o' that. Enjoy X
No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser - £10.00
This is probably my most recent purchase to date & I literally used it 2 hours before typing this post haha! I was intrigued to buy it as it's supposed to be the cheaper alternative to Liz Earle's Cleanse And Polish. I haven't seen results just yet of course but on first impressions its a rich consistency and did remove what little makeup I had on. Smells pretty bomb as well. Chucked in some tweezers and lip-treatment on the 3 for 2 offer, why not?
Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Pads - £8.66
Going back a few weeks, I purchased this around 2 weeks ago and used it every night up until around 3 nights ago when it was doing the opposite of what I wanted! If you do not know, Glycolic Acid is meant to re-texture the skins surface. I have quite a few bumps on the lower part and thought it might do the trick, but it was making it worse & the smell was so strong I was heaving every time I bloody applied it! :(
Bleach London Silver Shampoo - £5.00
So I got my hair done nearly 2 weeks back & I was told to use silver shampoo for the upkeep of the cool blonde tones. So as she's the expert I searched and searched for the best & this came up very popular and so it should have! This is SUCH a good silver shampoo for cancelling out brassy tones, I would recommend do not leave it on longer than 5 minutes though or you can end up looking like a lilac mess! But if you're a blonde out there, grab it whilst you can.
Loreal Pure Colour Shampoo & Conditioner:
So I bet you're sat there like, shampoo and conditioner Mel??? not important. But the reason it is, again if you're constantly dying your hair you would know that Sulphate strips hair colour a lot quicker than Sulphate free. And god damn is it hard to find Sulphate free products, so when I saw the outstanding reviews on these they were in my cart. I only received them today though, so you'll have to wait for my opinion!
Antipodes Divine Face Oil - £17.25
I have been on the hunt for an oil to cure my skin that is drier than the Sahara dessert. I've had zero luck, till.. a few days ago when I received this magic bottle of wonders. On first impression it smells super fresh and herbally if that's a word haha! It glided onto the skin without that greasy feeling which is always an annoyance for me with oils. I cant say its a holy grail just yet but I'll keep you updated.
Zoeva Graphic Eyes Eyeliners - £7.00
If there is one thing that's been raved about in the Youtube Beauty industry it is these bloomin eyeliners. I'm not a pencil eyeliner person, never have been. But the colours they had in this range were too gorgeous to give a miss. I have only received these the other day and have not had chance to test them out but they swatch incredibly and do not budge!
Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser &
Triple Moisturiser:
The good old Ponds Cleanser is my holy grail cleanser for the night time when I have layers of make-up on, this is my 3rd tub now. It is so rich and creamy and the make-up just slides off your face as gross as that sounds. If your grandmother never used this I would be very surprised! I honestly don't think I could use anything else, its cheap & a bonus is that Kylie Jenner uses it!
As for the moisturiser, been using it for just over a week now as my night-time cream and its more so of a really rich cream that rubs into a gel on application. It's very thick which is great for my dry skin, not sure how it would work on oily skin, but for £5 I wouldn't give it a miss.
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser - £8.99
This is my 2nd bottle of this now & it is my go-to face wash for the morning. Soap free, chemical free & scent free. It's gentle but just makes my skin feel like a baby's bottom, I don't like to spend a lot of time on my skin in the morning & this just does everything that I need it to do. That's it. Buy it. Now.
Makeup Geek Shadows - £4.95
MG shadows are probably, in my opinion, the best shadows on the market. They are pigmented, buttery, cheap & just everything you'd want in a shadow. They have so many colours, finishes, sparkles, the lot. So just had to grab a few from their new matte shades they came out with as well as a few originals. I can not recommend these eye shadows enough, I'd say they are 10 X better than MAC & 1/3 of the price.
Kiehls Avacado Eye Cream - £20.00
I have never been one for eye creams until recently my under eyes have become so dry, I've had my share of waking up in the morning and not being able to wear make-up because my dry patches under my eye are that bad. And then I found my match made in heaven when I met Mr Kiehls. I searched reviews on this more than you'd think and I just couldn't not buy it. £20 for this pot is SOOOO worth the money. Its extremely thick which is just what I needed and I wake up every morning with under-eyes as smooth as a babies bottom. Also contains no fragrance which is a bonus!
My Kit Co Palette - £8.99 (out of stock at the moment but I'll post on my Instagram when it's back)
To end it off on a high note, the star of the show. This is my new found love. If you're like me and you hate spending £20 + quid on Z palettes you will love this. My Kit Co is the new found dupe for Z palettes and honestly so much sleeker. at £8.99 a pot for a palette that fits 32 depotted shadows, yes I said 32. WHY WOULDN'T YOU? As soon as this came through my door today I just fell in looooove. Click the link. Buy the palette and you'd never look at an overly priced Z palette again.
